Movers and Shakers
A dancer for fifteen years, Reardon performs with Defining Movement (DefMo), Duke’s multicultural dance group. Mutchnick plays a euphonium in the marching band. Music also boosts their brain power: Mutchnick sometimes sings Disney tunes while studying, and Reardon says listening to eclectic Icelander Ólafur Arnalds helps him concentrate.
Tried AND True (Blue)
Both grew up in the Tampa area and struck up a friendship during Blue Devil Days. “I value someone who is willing to actually spend time with me and be good company,” says Reardon. Mutchnick says, “I care about a person’s sense of humor and their worldview.”
