As editor, Bliwise has overall responsibility for editorial direction and content and for representing the magazine to its various constituencies. He also teaches a seminar in magazine journalism through Duke’s Sanford School of Public Policy.
Before joining the magazine, Louise wrote for a wide variety of periodicals, reviewing books and reporting on topics from adventure sports to health. She holds an MFA from Bennington College and a degree in journalism from Northwestern University.
As managing editor, Martin manages copy, time, space, and egos. She’s also the caretaker of the magazine’s Facebook page, and gives a glimpse of what goes on behind-the-scenes, and other musings, on Twitter. Follow her @amajomartin
Elizabeth is the Clay Felker Fellow/staff writer at Duke Magazine. She previously interned at INDY Week, where she wrote about homelessness, fracking, domestic violence, and other news. In her spare time, she teaches writing in local prisons. In addition to writing for many sections of the magazine, she oversees production of class notes and helps manage content on the magazine's website. She joined the staff in September 2013.
